Organoleptic properties 

The botanical and organoleptic characteristics of hemp oil may vary according to the production conditions (country, sun, organic production, etc.).

  • Colour: green (dark)
  • Odour: characteristic of freshly cut grass
  • Texture: fairly fluid, good skin penetration
  • Flavour: typical of the seed, with hints of hazelnut and grass

Fatty acid composition

The composition of vegetable oils is strongly influenced by the conditions under which they are produced.

In order to guarantee its quality, it is advisable to choose an extra virgin oil obtained by cold pressing, preferably of organic origin.

Monounsaturated TA:

  • 9 to 14% oleic acid (omega 9)

Polyunsaturated TA:

  • 55 to 60% linoleic acid (omega 6)
  • 17 to 20% alpha-linolenic acid (omega 3)

Saturated fatty acids:

  • 8 to 10% palmitic and stearic acids

Other active ingredients

  • Vitamins: 2% E, A, B1, B2, B6
  • Other Ingredients: Gamma Tocopherols, Beta Sitoesterols, Beta Caryophyllene, Essential Amino Acids

Nutritional aspect

The high levels of essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6 and 9) in hemp oil make it a nutritious dietary oil, especially for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.

We recommend cold pressed oils of organic origin.

Precautionary measures

Hemp oil cannot be heated.
