- Gastrointestinal problems
- Tonic effect on the uterus during pregnancy (in the last 3 months) and during labor
- Pain during childbirth
- Painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)
- Heavy menstruation
- Diarrhea
- Sore throat
- Angina
Ingredients
For one cup of raspberry leaf infusion, use:
- 1 teaspoon dried raspberry leaves
- Approximately 200 ml of water
Preparation
- Heat water to a boil and add the raspberry leaves.
- Let the infusion rest for 10 minutes, to obtain an effective dose of the active ingredients.
- Filter, to remove the leaves.
If this infusion is to be used against diarrhea, let it infuse for 20 to 30 minutes to extract as much tannin as possible, which are the molecules responsible for the constipation effect.
Dosage
Drink 2 to 3 cups of this infusion per day during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
In case of diarrhea, take one-third cup (80 ml), 3 to 4 times a day, if necessary.
Possible Adverse Effects
Constipation (because of the tannins which can have a constipating effect).
