Pyrogenium

Pyrogenium is a homeopathic remedy with many virtues.

It can be used to treat infections caused by food poisoning.

These poisonings can have various causes, including the consumption of spoiled food.

It is also an ancient remedy that has been used in biotherapy since the end of the 19th century.

Presentation of the remedy

The homeopathic Pyrogenium strain can be of animal (pig, cow) or human (placenta) origin.

It is obtained by decomposing these materials, which contain germs and pyrogenic substances.

Pyrogenium comes in the form of granules or globules.

In this case it contains lactose and sucrose.

It can also be found in other forms, such as mother tinctures or drinkable drops.

It is a mild remedy that can be given to pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Acute infection indications

Pyrogenium is recommended for the treatment of acute infections such as ear infections, abscesses and bronchitis.

It helps to heal suppurative skin infections such as eczema, boils, wounds and folliculitis.

Pyrogenium is also indicated for infected wounds, dental infections and acute suppurative processes where the indication for antibiotic therapy is questionable.

It can be used for pain or stiffness, eye pain and red, glazed or cracked tongue.

Chronic infection indications

Pyrogens can be given for infections that are chronic and get worse over time.

They are recognised by certain signs, such as a dissociation between pulse and temperature.

We may also notice the appearance of chills in the shoulders and extending to the bones.

The patient's breath and secretions are foul and the pain is generalised.

It is prescribed in chronic purulent infectious conditions of sinusitis and fistulas.
