Salvia Tincture



Ingredients

  • Dried sage (10 to 15 grams for a 300 ml bottle)
  • Spirit or vodka
  • A 300 ml bottle with a cap
  • Coffee filter
  • A colored bottle for storing the tincture

Preparation

  1. Fill a jar to a third of its height with the dried salvia leaves.
  2. Cover the dried leaves with brandy or vodka to the top of the jar.
  3. Close the jar tightly.
  4. Let this mixture rest for 2 to 3 weeks (you will notice after a while a change in the color of the tincture).
  5. Shake occasionally.
  6. Filter the mixture, for example, with a coffee filter.
  7. Transfer the tincture into a brown bottle to protect from light.
  8. Close tightly and label the bottle with the date and name of the tincture.

Dosage

Take 1 teaspoon of the tincture, for example in case of excessive sweating.
