Magnesia phosphorica

Magnesia Phosphorica is a homeopathic remedy obtained by saturating phosphoric acid with magnesium salt.

This remedy belongs to the sensitive tribes and is mainly used to treat neuralgic and spasmodic pain and muscle spasms.

The homeopathic equivalent of Magnesia Phosphorica is Colocynthis, as these two remedies have similar properties in the treatment of pain.

However, Magnesia Phosphorica is indicated for various other types of pathology, particularly those related to neurovegetative activity.

Pain management

Magnesia Phosphorica is indicated for the treatment of acute, persistent and often blinding pain, such as painful facial tics or certain forms of facial and supraorbital neuralgia.

It is also used to treat spasmodic contractions of the facial muscles and spasms of the eyelids.

The analgesic and antispasmodic properties of Magnesia Phoshorica are particularly effective against neuralgic pain around the heart, especially in cases of coronary artery disease, angina pectoris or even palpitations.

This homeopathic remedy mainly treats spasmodic pain accompanied by muscle cramps. It is therefore indicated to relieve spasms in musicians and writers.

In rheumatology, if the sciatica pain is mainly in the right part of the lower back and is accompanied by cramps, Magnesia Phosphorica is the most appropriate remedy.

Magnesia Phosphorica is also used to treat headaches, migraines and toothaches caused by eating very hot or very cold food.

Behavioural problems

As an antispasmodic, Magnesia Phosphorica is indicated in the initial treatment of people with spasms, especially those who express physical pain violently, with screaming and crying.

It is also used to treat certain symptoms associated with conduct disorder, such as stiffness of the limbs and joints, or asthma attacks of nervous origin.

It also helps to stop seizures in mild cases of epilepsy.

Magnesia Phosphorica can also be used as an anxiolytic for depressed, anxious, irritable and gloomy people.

Gastroenterology

Magnesia Phosphorica is used in gastroenterology to treat stomach cramps, diarrhoea and spasmodic cramps accompanied by flatulence which forces the patient to double up.

This homeopathic remedy is therefore used to treat various types of colic, in particular infantile colic, hepatic colic and renal colic.

Magnesia Phosphorica is particularly recommended when the patient burps without filling the stomach.

It is also indicated in cases of aerophagia or bloated abdomen.

Urology

Treatment with Magnesia Phosphorica can control some mild cases of incontinence, especially in those who have a constant need to urinate, whether standing, sitting or moving. It is also indicated for those who suffer from nocturnal enuresis.

Thanks to its antispasmodic properties, Magnesia Phosphorica treats bladder spasms that may cause tenesmus or urinary retention.

In men, Magnesia Phosphorica is recommended for the treatment of urethral secretion accompanied by painful urination.

After catheterisation, Magnesia Phosphorica relieves pain in the bladder.

Gynaecology

Magnesia Phosphorica is the ultimate painkiller for painful menstruation.

In gynaecology, it is used to treat all painful cramps.

It is also used to treat dysmenorrhoea and uterine furrows.

It is particularly recommended for membranous, dark periods, early onset and neuralgic ovariangia.

Obstetrics

In obstetrics, magnesia phosphorica is used during labour to relieve spasmodic pain after childbirth. This remedy is particularly indicated for extremely painful uterine contractions of a spasmodic nature.
