Side effects

Rare side effects (diarrhea, inflammation,...), thrush (if you chew the fresh leaves).

It is rare, but some people may develop contact allergy in case of skin application.

Interactions

Interactions are possible with blood thinners, anticoagulants, such as clopidogrel. This can lead to increased bleeding, especially during daily use.

Forms of use

  • Feverfew Infusion
  • Capsule or tablet
    • For an effect against migraine, dose 50-100mg per day of Feverfew powder, this powder should contain 0.2 to 0.35% parthenolide for good effectiveness.
  • Feverfew Decoction
  • Feverfew Tincture
  • Fresh leaves (or dried)
    • You can use the fresh leaves and chew them, using 2 to 3 leaves per day (equivalent to 2g) in the treatment of migraine.
    • However, beware of the risk of thrush.
