Precautions for use

Neroli essential oil is reserved for adults, adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding women.

All routes of administration are possible, but this essential oil must be diluted for use in diffusion and for application to the skin.

This essential oil can be nephrotoxic after ingestion.

Warning: 

  • People with asthma should seek medical advice before using this essential oil.

Cutaneous use:

  • Neroli essential oil should be diluted to 20% for use on the skin (20% essential oil to 80% vegetable oil).

Ingestion:

  • Neroli essential oil can be nephrotoxic if taken in high doses and over a long period of time.

Diffusion:

  • Neroli essential oil should not be diffused on its own, but diluted 5-10% with other essential oils (we recommend mandarin, lemon or bergamot so as not to distort its fragrance with very strong essential oils).
  • For babies, it can be used in atmospheric diffusion.

Neroli essential oil is high in biochemical allergenic components.

  • Citral (neral + geranial) (≤ 0.1%)

Note: It is best to test the essential oil before use (two drops on the crease of the elbow for at least 24 hours to check for a reaction).
