Precautions for use

Caution! Eucalyptus smithii essential oil is for adults only.

It is forbidden for pregnant women and young children.

The most recommended routes of administration are the diluted cutaneous route and air diffusion.

The oral route is reserved for the therapist.

Other precautions

Warning:

  • Oral use of this essential oil is reserved for prescription therapy.
  • People with asthma and epilepsy should consult a doctor before use due to the epileptogenic risk of high doses.

Diffusion:

  • For pregnant women and babies, this essential oil can be used in diffusion mixed with other essential oils at a maximum of 30%.
  • Avoid using Eucalyptus Smithii essential oil in aerosols.

Contraindications:

  • Do not take eucalyptus smithii essential oil with any medicines.

Allergenic components:

Eucalyptus smithii essential oil contains allergenic biochemicals:

  • Limonene (≤ 8%)
  • Linalool (≤ 1%)
  • Geraniol (≤ 0.5%)

Note: It is best to test the essential oil before use (two drops on the crease of the elbow for at least 24 hours to check for a reaction).

Indications

Directions for use/usual dosage

  • Massage pure or slightly diluted on the chest and upper back for all respiratory ailments, especially ENT, colds, rhinitis, otitis, coughs and pharyngitis.
  • For spreading during winter epidemics.

Cosmetic

Cleansing:

  • Combination to oily skin, acne 
  • Dandruff, itching

Interior use

  • For air diffusion to purify the air and for its pleasant fragrance in synergy.
