Marigold Tincture



Indications

External use

Warning: never apply a tincture of marigold on a bleeding wound !

Internal use

Ingredients

  • A few grams of marigold flowers (see below on preparation)
  • Life water (or vodka)
  • 300 ml nozzle (with a lid, e.g. the lid of a jelly)
  • Coffee filter
  • Jar for storing the tincture

Preparation

  1. Fill the nozzle halfway with marigold flowers.
  2. Cover the marigold flowers with life water (or vodka), the life water should reach the top of the mouthpiece.
  3. Cover this mouthpiece tightly.
  4. Let it decant for 2 to 3 weeks in a relatively warm place (you will notice after a while a change in the color of the tincture).
  5. Filter the mixture with the help of a coffee filter, for example.
  6. Then put the mixture into a colored (dark brown) bottle to preserve its effectiveness.
  7. Cap tightly and label with the name and date of the tincture.

Dosage

External use: dilute the tincture, preferably with a little water, and apply to the skin with a gauze.

Warning: never apply a calendula tincture on a bleeding wound!

Internal use: consult a naturopath for the exact dosage.

Attention: this preparation contains alcohol, therefore it is not indicated for children.
