Precautions for use

Goldenrod essential oil is non-toxic, but there are some risks.

It is similar to cortisone and irritating to the skin.

You will therefore need to dilute it by 20% in vegetable oil.

Only adults and adolescents should use this essential oil.

Other precautions

Warning:

  • People with epilepsy and asthma should seek medical advice before using this essential oil.
  • It is not recommended to use this essential oil for long periods of time.

Cutaneous use:

  • Goldenrod essential oil is irritating to the skin and should be diluted in vegetable oil (20% essential oil in 80% vegetable oil) before use.

Allergenic components:

Goldenrod essential oil contains two biochemical allergenic components:

  • limonene (2 to 11%)
  • linalool (≤ 1%)

Note: It is best to test the essential oil before use (two drops on the crease of the elbow for at least 24 hours to check for a reaction).
