Ingredients
- 250 grams of dried figs
- 125 g to 250 g honey
- 125 g for a laxative syrup
- 250 g for a cough syrup
- 500 ml water
Preparation
- Cut the figs into small pieces.
- Place the figs in a saucepan and add the honey and water.
- Heat over low heat for one hour (make a reduction), stirring occasionally.
- Filter with the help of a juice compressor.
- Place in a labeled bottle.
Dosage
Drink one tablespoon of syrup 3-4 times a day (dose against cough and sore throat).
In cases of constipation, it is recommended that you take several tablespoons of this mixture in a single dose each day.
Observations
Figs are rich in fiber and are an interesting mild laxative working as a syrup, as well as fresh or dried fruit.
