How to make an infusion?



Better known as 'herbal teas', they can be prepared in just a few minutes and are perfect for quenching your thirst and giving you the plant properties you need.

There are 2 types: hot infusions and cold infusions.


Hot infusion

Preparation

  • Boil the water.
  • Put the plants in a bowl.
  • Pour the boiling water over the plants.
  • Leave to steep for a few minutes. On average, you will need to wait:
    • 1 to 2 minutes for aromatic plants
    • 5 minutes for flowers
    • 20 minutes for remineralising plants

Conservation

  • 24 hours in the fridge

Dosage

  • In general, we recommend:
    • According to the monograph of the chosen plant:
      • For an adult: 1 teaspoon per cup of water, 1 to 4 cups a day
      • For a child: 1/4 to 3/4 teaspoon per cup of water, 1 or 2 times a day - adjust according to the age and weight of the child.

Cold Infusion

Preparation

  • Pour room temperature filtered water over the plants.
  • Leave to soak overnight.
  • Strain.

Conservation

  • On average 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator.

Dosage

  • As a general rule, we recommend:
    • The dosage should be adjusted according to the monographs of the chosen plant:
      • For an adult: 1 teaspoon per cup of water, 1 to 4 cups a day
      • For a child: 1/4 to 3/4 teaspoon per cup of water, 1 or 2 times a day - adjust according to the age and weight of the child.
