Ferrum phosphoricum

Ferrum phosphoricum is a homeopathic remedy of chemical origin.

Its composition, based on ferric phosphate, hydrated iron oxide and hydrated iron phosphate, makes it a remedy indicated for febrile illnesses, otorhinolaryngological disorders, but also for the treatment of certain rheumatological pathologies.

Main indications

Ferrum phosphoricum is used in rheumatology to relieve pain caused by arthritis, but also for colds of the hip.

It is also used to treat various diseases of the ENT, including nasopharyngitis.

Sometimes the mucous membranes bleed.

In this case, Ferrum phosphoricum can be given to treat both the dry cough and the affected mucous membranes.

Ferrum phosphoricum is also used to treat febrile conditions associated with various pathologies that cause a rise in temperature.

In sensitive individuals, such as children, treatment with Ferrum phosphoricum can also be considered when the temperature is around 38.5°C.

This homeopathic remedy can be effective if the person has haemophilia and sometimes nosebleeds.

It is also prescribed for moderate fevers, especially in children who are exhausted by the fever and sometimes have diarrhoea with bloody stools.
