Nux moschata

Nux moschata is extracted from the seeds of Myristica fragrans, a tree in the Myristicaceae family.

This seed is more commonly known as nutmeg.

It contains a very pungent essence which is used as a seasoning by the inhabitants of certain islands.

In homeopathy, Nux moschata belongs to the category of remedies known as diathetics.

It can effectively treat a variety of illnesses, including mental disorders.

Behavioural problems

Nux moschata is used to treat a wide range of mental disorders.

It is effective in treating people who develop a marked tendency to drowsiness, who have very variable moods, who laugh and cry suddenly, who have difficulty concentrating, etc.

Nux moschata is particularly indicated when a person feels that their brain is bouncing around inside their skull and when they have frequent hallucinations.

Gastroenterology

Nux moschata can also be very helpful in treating flatulence.

It is therefore advisable to give Nux moschata granules to people who have severe abdominal pain, diarrhoea or stools that look like frothy eggs and who have lost their appetite.

These symptoms may hide gastric disorders which can be treated with Nux moschata.

Ophthalmology

Nux moschata can also be used by people with symptoms of severe eye conditions.

Excessive dryness of the eyes, dilated and insensitive pupils that make reading difficult can be very effectively relieved by this remedy.

Similarly, people who find that objects appear too large at night should take Nux moschata.
