Chamomilla Vulgaris is made from varieties of wild chamomile, a European aromatic plant of the Asteraceae family.
All parts of the plant are used in the preparation of the remedy.
The mother tincture obtained is subjected to numerous dilutions so that it is no longer toxic, and is then dynamised so that the drug obtained is effective.
Chamomilla Vulgaris is particularly recommended for paediatric conditions such as teething, but it can also be used to treat behavioural problems and to relieve certain pains.
Paediatric indications
Chamomilla Vulgaris is particularly recommended when the first teeth appear.
In fact, this homeopathic remedy is effective in relieving the baby's gum and tooth pain, as well as the accompanying fever.
As a sedative, it also reduces irritability in babies and young children.
Finally, it can be used in children for otitis, gastroenteritis and bronchitis associated with teething.
Chamomilla vulgaris is ideal for people whose cough is worse at night, whose toothache is aggravated by cold, and whose sensitivity to pain is particularly increased.
Gynaecology indications
Chamomilla vulgaris can be used to treat menstrual pain and therefore dysmenorrhoea.
It also helps to calm the nervousness of an unwell woman and relieve the lower back pain she may experience during menstruation.
Behavioural problems
Chamomilla Vulgaris is also recommended for sudden mood swings and behavioural disorders characterised by anger, restlessness, unusual irritability and aggressiveness at the slightest provocation.
Pain management
Chamomilla vulgaris is indicated for various forms of hyperalgesia.
It can be used to relieve dental neuralgia, sciatica, hepatic colic, renal colic, intestinal colic and many other conditions.
It is particularly suitable for spasmodic pain, watery diarrhoea and unbearable colic.
