External use

  • Hyperemic

Internal use

  • Stimulates gastrointestinal secretions

Side effects

  • Internal use: diarrhoea, gastrointestinal problems.
  • External use: redness, allergies, irritation, burns.
  • These side effects usually occur during the first few applications and then diminish over time.
  • If redness and irritation persist, it is advisable to stop using cayenne pepper.
