Side effects

  • No proven side effects.
  • There has been a case report of possible hepatotoxicity, but this has not been proven.

Contraindications

  • During radiotherapy or chemotherapy. 
  • However, as there are no studies on goji in pregnant women, nursing mothers and children, its use is not recommended for these groups.

Interactions

  • May interact with anti-vitamin K agents such as warfarin or femprocoumon and other blood thinners.
