Wheat germ (Triticum Vulgare Aestivum)

Indications

  • Hair loss (due to lack of certain nutrients)
  • Dermatosis (skin problems)
  • Natural tonic (rich in vitamins, trace elements and minerals)
  • Prevention of certain diseases such as Alzheimer's (due to its concentration of choline)

Ingredients

  • Wheat (preferably organic), wheat grains
  • A plate (to act as a germinator)

Preparation

  1. Put 2 tablespoons of wheat in the germinator, separating the grains well in the bowl.
  2. Pour water into the bowl and wait for the water to drain. The aim is to moisten the seed and the wheat.
  3. Place the sprouts and wheat on the light.
  4. The next day, put water back in the dish and wait for it to drain.
  5. Two or three days later, when small white spots appear on the wheat, it is ready to eat. You can also wait until the germs are larger.
  6. To stop them growing, put them in a box in the fridge.
  7. After a few days, if the germ is too big, it will not be as good.

Dosage

Chew the wheat germ and swallow.

You can also chew it until it has the consistency of chewing gum and then swallow.

Take 1 to 2 teaspoons of wheat germ a day.

Notes

Wheat germ in particular contains choline.

Choline-rich foods are known to help prevent Alzheimer's disease.

Choline is converted into acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter for memory.

It is important to note that the human body cannot synthesise choline, so this amino acid can only be obtained from food.

In addition to wheat germ, choline is found in high concentrations in eggs.
