Definition of the pathology

A chalazion is a small, fluid-filled cyst or nodule, typically between 2 and 8 mm in size, with a swollen or lumpy appearance on the eyelid. It can develop on the lower or upper eyelid, although it is more common on the upper eyelid. Callosity can affect only one eye or both eyes.
