Cherry Syrup

Ingredients

  • About 500 grams of ripe cherries
  • 200 g sugar or honey

Preparation

  1. Prepare a cherry juice: Take the stones out of the cherries and mash them with a fork, add some water (about 10 ml) and filter.
  2. Put the cherry juice in a saucepan, add the sugar or honey.
  3. Cook this mixture over low heat until the sugar/honey melts.
  4. Continue heating the mixture constantly over low heat, stirring well, until you get a syrupy mixture (you can see the formation of large bubbles, signal to start stopping the cooking).
  5. Let it cook for about 15 minutes longer.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Place in small sterilized bottles (to ensure good hygiene and proper conservation), close and label with the name of the preparation, dosage, date, etc.

Dosage

Take several spoonfuls of this syrup per day.

It is also possible to dilute it with water.
