- 10 gr dried arnica flowers
- 100 ml of alcohol at 70°
Preparation
- Let the arnica flowers macerate for 2 to 4 weeks in 100 ml of 70° alcohol or vodka in a clear, airtight glass container; if possible, the mixture should be exposed to the sun.
- Stir the container every day.
- Filter.
- Then store away from light.
Dosage
Apply the prepared tincture in the form of compresses, directly on the desired location, 3 to 4 times a day (changing compresses each time).
By mixing one tablespoon of this arnica tincture with two tablespoons of honey, you get a cream that can be applied to the boils.
Observations
It is also possible, according to Liege's formula, to prepare a tincture of arnica by mixing 20 g of the prepared tincture and 50 g of glycerin (for sale in pharmacies) and 60 g of water. Use this mixture immediately, in the form of compresses.
Do not apply on an open (bleeding) wound or to the eyes.
This preparation is contraindicated for people allergic to arnica.
