Definition of the pathology

Oxyuriasis, also known as enterobiosis, is a worm disease caused by the parasite Enterobius vermicularis, popularly known as oxyurrus, which can be transmitted by contact with contaminated surfaces, eating food contaminated with eggs, or inhaling the eggs that are airborne as they are very light.
