Borax

Borax, derived from sodium tetraborate or sodium borate, is a homeopathic remedy used to treat and cure certain pathological problems of the skin and mucous membranes.

The mucous membranes we are talking about here are mainly the walls of the gums and mouth.

It is usually Borax 9 CH or 15 CH that is prescribed by homeopaths, as its effects are not limited to the treatment of skin and mucous membrane problems.

Borax main indication

Borax is particularly indicated for the treatment of rashes such as canker sores.

These lesions, usually found in children and babies, are small ulcers on the mucous membranes of the mouth.

More specifically, they are located on the inside of the cheeks, on the underside of the tongue or near the edge of the lips.

They are oval or round in shape, whitish in colour and surrounded by an inflammatory halo.

It should be noted that canker sores themselves are benign ulcers, but they are very painful and the sufferer will find it difficult to eat.

Whatever the form, Borax treats and cures these canker sores.

In fact, there are bloody canker sores, canker sores with painful ulcers, canker sores associated with diarrhoea in babies, and canker sores associated with teething.

Other indications

As well as treating mouth ulcers, borax is also used to treat certain behavioural disorders and some dermatological and dental problems.

Among the conditions that can be treated with borax is motion sickness, also known as nausea or seasickness.

This condition is usually characterised by vomiting, nausea, dizziness, sweating, pallor, excessive salivation, anxiety and general discomfort.

Borax has the ability to stimulate the brain and combat all these discomforts.

This homeopathic remedy is also indicated for psoriasis, genital herpes and dental eruptions.
