Indications
Side effects
Only a doctor should prescribe yohimbe and recommend a dosage. In high doses, yohimbe can lead to breathing problems, low blood pressure, heart problems, paralysis, and even death.
Contraindications
Yohimbe bark is contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding, heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorders, prostatitis or benign prostatic hyperplasia, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and allergy.
Interactions
Yohimbe should not be taken in combination with antidepressants, hypotensives, caffeine, and ephedrine.
