Precautions for use
Caution! Its action is very effective, but beware, Khella essential oil is photosensitising when used on the skin and should not be inhaled in the event of an asthma attack!
It should not be used by babies or pregnant women.
Oral use is by prescription only.
Other precautions
Cutaneous use:
- Khella essential oil should be diluted to 10% for use on the skin (10% essential oil, 90% vegetable oil).
- For babies, diluted skin application is possible under medical advice.
Ingestion:
- The prescription of Khella essential oil orally is reserved for a healthcare professional.
Diffusion:
- Inhalation and diffusion of this essential oil is strictly forbidden during an asthma attack.
Allergenic components:
Khella essential oil is high in biochemical allergenic components:
- limonene (≤ 2%)
- linalool (20-40%)
- geraniol (≤ 0.5%)
Note: It is best to test the essential oil before use (two drops on the crease of the elbow for at least 24 hours to check for a reaction).
