Definition of the pathology

Non-celiac gluten intolerance is an inability or difficulty in digesting gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye and barley. In these people, gluten damages the walls of the small intestine, causing diarrhoea, abdominal pain and bloating, and interfering with the absorption of nutrients.
