- Duration: 3 days
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- The right time: late summer, early autumn (peak grape season)
- For 1 person
The grape cure is the best-known of monodietes. Carried out at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, it allows you to approach the start of the new school year in complete serenity, to cleanse and strengthen your defences before the onset of winter.
Your shopping list for the 3 days
The advantage of a monodiet is that the shopping list is ultra-short!
Organic first!
Always choose organic grapes, as they are one of the fruits with the highest levels of pesticide residues. Remember to rinse them well, organic or not, to remove any yeast or mould. Don't forget that the thin waxy layer that covers them (called the blossom) is not a problem: on the contrary, it is a sign of freshness. It can be rubbed off.
Your programme
The schedule is the same for all three days.
A short week's preparation
Don't go straight from your usual diet to the Grape Monodiet, especially if your diet is rich in toxins (lots of processed foods, sugary products, red meat, few fruits and vegetables, etc.). Before starting the detox programme, plan a few transition days during which you will gradually increase your intake of fruit and vegetables and reduce your consumption of processed foods and red meat. If possible, plan three 100% vegetable days before starting the grape detox: you can eat all the fruit and vegetables you like, raw or cooked, in salads, soups, juices, etc. Continue these good habits at the end of your detox. Toxin-rich foods are not completely banned, but they must be reintroduced very gradually and their consumption is limited.
