4. When should you do a detox cure?

Detox cures are traditionally scheduled at the end of winter to cleanse the body and eliminate all the toxins accumulated during the cold season (richer diet, less frequent physical activity, etc.). In reality, a detox cure can be taken at any time of year. There's always a good reason to do one!

🌸 In springtime

This is the ideal time to get rid of the excesses of winter, a period when our diet is traditionally more acidifying because it's rich in proteins (ah, those tasty little dishes with sauce!) and sugars. The return of fine weather is also a great motivator: it makes you want to take care of yourself and your health. We're also taking advantage of the return to the markets of some particularly detoxifying (and delicious!) vegetables and fruit, such as asparagus and strawberries.

☀️ In summer

Summer is often synonymous with holidays and therefore more time available. The daily pace slows down, we have more time to take care of ourselves and we're less stressed. All good reasons to plan a little detox. It's also the ideal time of year for a fruit and/or vegetable juice cure, as there's a wide choice of delicious vegetables on the markets. What's more, it's a great way to keep hydrated on a hot day!

🍁 In autumn

Detoxing helps you prepare for winter. By ridding your body of toxins, you'll be better equipped to face the cold season. The end of summer/beginning of autumn is also the ideal time to do the most famous of all detox mono-diets: the grape cure.

❄️ In winter

This is a time of year when toxins can build up, but there's no need to wait until it's over to take things in hand. You can schedule a detox right in the middle of winter. In fact, after the festive season, it's highly recommended! It's also the perfect season to follow a delicious detox soup cure...
