Symptom Definition
Varicose veins are dilated veins that are easily visible under the skin and that occur mainly in the legs, due to the loss of the ability of the veins to promote the venous return of blood from the lower limbs to the heart, causing a feeling of heaviness in the legs, tingling and greater sensitivity in the region. - Varicose veins that protrude from the skin and are more than 3 millimetres in diameter.
- Reticular veins, which are 1 to 3 millimetres in diameter.
