Symptom Definition

Scabs are a fairly common skin rash. When scabs appear, people usually have:

• Pink or red spots of rounded shape, more or less covered by greasy scales;
• or rounded white patches (which often turn white in the sun) surrounded by dry scales;
• Sometimes itching may occur.
