Vaginal itching



Symptom Definition

Vaginal itching is a relatively common symptom, usually indicating some kind of allergy in the genital area. However, it can also be a sign of a more serious problem, such as candidiasis or another type of infection. The most common additional symptoms are:

  • Redness and swelling throughout the genital area
  • Whitish spots in the vagina
  • Whitish, clotted discharge, similar to curdled or coagulated milk
  • Pain or burning when urinating
  • Yellowish or greenish discharge
  • Presence of small balls in the vagina or rough skin
  • Itching that starts or gets worse after using a condom, soap, cream, wax or lubricant in the genital area
