Definition of the pathology

Blepharitis is an inflammation of the edges of the eyelids, causing the appearance of tears, crusts and other symptoms such as redness, itching and the sensation of having a hole in the eye. This change is common and can occur overnight in people of all ages and is due to a change in the meibomian glands, which are responsible for maintaining the eye's moisture balance.
