Watermelon juice with ginger

Indications

  • Hydrating juice (watermelon is rich in water), diuretic, helps fight fatigue (as a complementary measure)
  • In cases of muscle cramps

Ingredients

For 200-300 ml of juice, use:

  • Half a watermelon (or 1 quart if the watermelon is large).
  • The equivalent of 2 tablespoons of chopped or grated ginger.

Preparation

  1. Remove the rind from the watermelon and cut the pulp (the edible part, with seeds) into small slices.
  2. Remove the skin from the ginger and cut it into pieces.
  3. Put a few slices of watermelon and ginger in the blender, blend for a few seconds then add the rest of the watermelon.
  4. Possibly add other fruits.
  5. Shake well for a few minutes, but not too long to prevent the watermelon seeds from being crushed.
  6. Strain the mixture. This step may take a few minutes (the watermelon and ginger seeds will remain in the filter).
  7. Drink immediately or leave for a few hours in the refrigerator before drinking.

Dosage

Consume the juice 1-2 times a day.

Conservation

About 12 hours (if kept under refrigeration).

Best consumed immediately.
