Secale Cornutum is a very good homeopathic remedy based on sclerotia.
These are found on rye flowers and wheat that have been attacked by the rye parasite, a fungus of the Ascomycetes family.
As these plants grow, they produce foul-smelling, purplish-brown sclerotia reminiscent of rye ergot.
The mother tincture used to make Secale cornutum is made from these sclerotia, which are dried beforehand.
