Paris quadrifolia

The homeopathic remedy Paris Quadrifolia is derived from the parisette plant.

This plant, sometimes called the 4-leaved Paris, grows everywhere.

It is mainly found in the Alps, even at very high altitudes, and in damp undergrowth.

Parisette belongs to the Liliaceae family and was once used in traditional medicine.

It is a rhizomatous plant containing steroidal and alkaloidal derivatives.

It has antispasmodic and narcotic properties.

Its active principles are laxative and emetic.

To obtain the mother tincture, laboratories use the whole plant.

It is also recommended for neuralgic pains felt at the level of the skull when these pains are accompanied by a sensation of "eyes drawn back".

In ophthalmology, Paris Quadrifolia is indicated for the treatment of asthenopia.
