Definition of the pathology

Irritable bowel syndrome is a condition in which there is inflammation of the intestinal villi, causing symptoms such as pain, bloating, excessive gas, and bouts of constipation or diarrhoea. These symptoms are usually made worse by a number of things, from stress to eating certain foods.
