Acacia Honey

Taste, colour and texture

Probably the best known honey, acacia honey comes from the flowers of the locust tree. It is particularly soft and delicate and has a subtle flavour.

In terms of texture, it has the ability to remain liquid for a long time, as it crystallises very slowly.

Thanks to this, it keeps for a long time, especially if it is protected from light and at room temperature.

It is therefore easy to use in baking or for sweetening hot and cold drinks.

It is also one of the best honeys for sweetening tea, because its subtlety and sweetness do not distort your tea.

Its colour is quite light, it is considered a blonde honey, sometimes with light green reflections.

All these characteristics make it a honey that children will love!

The benefits

This monofloral honey has a low to medium GI, averaging between 35 and 56, because it is more concentrated in fructose than in glucose.  For this reason, it is said to be suitable for people with diabetes.

Rich in vitamins and minerals, it is used to treat constipation, relieve pain and promote sleep.

This honey also strengthens the skeleton and is considered an antispasmodic.

It also helps to detoxify the liver.
